Booking airline tickets

1. How are unaccompanied children transported?

- Children from 5 years old may go abroad without any accompaniment in the both sides by both switched and direct lines, wherein we recommend you to read the rules of the airline company, as the circumstances may vary from transporter to transporter. - Children up to 5 years old may only pass any border with an adult accompanier or a teenager if the later is 15. - The company offers special services if accompaniment of a child is impossible. For this purpose, you may contact our office or the airline company for further information.

2. I have booked a ticket on trips.az, but the purchase became inaccessible before the payment for it. Why and what to do in such circumstances?

Any error in booking may occur in case of earlier obtainment of the tariff (chosen by you) by another client of the company. The system is renewed over time. It is recommended to retry booking and payment a bit after a half time.

3. Are any discounts available for children?

There are discounts available for children. Some airline companies offer discount for children up to 50 percent, depending on the ages. Please, note that if you obtain a ticket for a child and indicate the age up to 2, but at the time of the flight, the child is already 2 years old, then, that ticket becomes invalid. These rules shall also be applied to children up to 12.

4. What limits are placed for passengers on purchasing (booking) air tickets for flights?

- If passengers are minors or people with hearing/vision disability or pregnant women, then the tickets for them may be purchased (booked) at the administration office of the airline company and at our office, or in such cases, you may apply for further consultancy. - For breastfed children up to 2 years old, the tickets may be purchased either with or without a separate place.

5. May a passenger pay for a ticket by a card of another person?

Yes. It is allowable. However, in some cases – where the data of the passport and card are different – the airline company may ask for further information on the card holder and for a photocopy. After the submission, the data are deleted immediately after checking.

6. How to indicate the quantity of places and the class of service?

On the search page, where the data is indicated, a passenger may choose the required quantity of places and the class of flight. When choosing, it should be taken into account that only few places at cheap prices remain up to the days next to the flight.

7. What do the rules of application of tariffs mean?

The conditions and terms of purchase/return/change of tickets are determined by the rules of application of tariffs. They vary per ticket. They include the terms; necessity of extra payment, rules of application of penalty sanctions and etc. These rules should be examined on the page of ticketing or the details of the order immediately before/after the purchase of tickets. It is also important to know that the airline company may make revisions to these rules at any time without preliminarily noticing passengers.

8. What is needed for flying abroad?

- When checking-in, a passenger shall have his/her ID and passport with a valid visa with him/her. In some CIS countries, no visa is required. For further information, we recommend to apply to the embassy of the concerning country. The expiry dates of the document and visa shall not be later than the date of the return flight. - It should be taken into account that the consulates of some countries require this period to exceed six months since the date of entry to the country. - If a passenger intends to fly by switched lines, then, s/he must have a transit visa. - When flying together with children, each must have a foreign passport. It is important to know that some control services check availability of the birth documents of the children who are under 14. Therefore, you should take the certificate or other document confirming the birth of the minor. - Where a flying passenger is an unaccompanied minor, there shall be a document confirmed by a notary, with consent for his/her to fly to another country. - If a passenger intends to take a domestic animal abroad, s/he shall have a special container and veterinary documents or licenses (for non-pedigree animals). Furthermore, s/he shall pay per kilogram of the live weight. - Each airline company determines individual rules for women flying while pregnant, which we strongly recommend to clarify at the administration office of the airline company by which you fly. In some cases, pregnant women are permitted to fly up to the 30th week of pregnancy. For confirmation of the pregnancy period, the passenger shall have her prenatal record and medical reference of health. Furthermore, the pregnant woman may be asked to present a certificate of pledge of her full liability in case of disadvantageous results during the flight.
